Little Oaks Ashford nursery is a purpose built nursery on one level. The nursery is located
within the grounds of the William Harvey Hospital and offers a discounted rate to employees of the East Kent Trust. We pride ourselves on our nurturing and stimulating approach to learning. We are rated Good by Ofsted, our open door policy to parents ensure partnership with parents in their childs’ learning and developing. This is supported by a highly effective key person approach which supports children being cared for in small family groups.
The nursery has 4 rooms specifically designed for each age group, a baby room/explorers (3months-2years), two toddler rooms / adventures (18months-3 years) and a pre-school room (3-5years). Each room provides safe and stimulating environments, allowing the children to learn through play and exploration. The children benefit from our large, fully enclosed garden with a combination of grass areas and soft play surface. The children are encouraged by the staff to spend time in our growing plot, planting a combination of flowers and vegetables. The nursery also provides the children with all wet weather gear so the children can access the garden and continue their learning in all weathers!
Our highly qualified staff team are dedicated to ensuring the children learn whilst having fun, encouraging them to explore their individual interests and providing activities that will support each child to grow and develop. Each day our chef, Carol cooks fresh, home-cooked meals for the children. The menus offer a variety of foods to ensure the children are provided with a healthy, nutritious diet.
